Interim Dean Mafi Announces New Associate Deans

Professors Judy Bieber (History), Sharon Nepstad (Sociology), and Fred Gibbs (History) are now filling key leadership roles in the College Dean’s offices. 

  • Dr. Bieber was appointed as the new Senior Associate Dean on July 1 to succeed Philip Ganderton
  • Dr. Nepstad, who is the new Associate Dean for Student Success, and Dr. Gibbs, the new Assistant Dean for Curriculum, were both appointed effective August 1
  • In addition, Dr. Sally Seidel (Physics & Astronomy) has recently been appointed as Special Assistant to the Dean for the Assessment of Graduate Assistant Appointments
