Overview

The University of New Mexico is an accessible, very research intensive (R1), Hispanic Serving Institution with a Carnegie Community Engagement designation, one of the few such universities in the country. The College of Arts & Sciences is the heart of UNM. Reflecting our strengths and common goals, Dean Jennifer Malat has launched four new initiatives that align with the University's strategic plan, UNM 2040: Opportunity Defined, The opportunities below build on the College’s tradition of collaboration and leadership in the University.

Our heterogeneity provides opportunities to work across disciplines and academic activity to generate new knowledge and solve complex problems.  We invite proposals for activities that will raise the visibility of the College of Arts & Sciences and showcase our interdisciplinary expertise on a specific topic.
