College of Arts & Sciences Announces 2023 Teaching Excellence Award Recipients

Interim Dean Janie Chermak and the College of Arts & Sciences is proud announce the winners of the College's Teaching Excellence Award. This annual award honors A&S faculty, lecturers, adjunct instructors, and graduate teaching assistants who have made outstanding contributions to the College’s instructional mission.
The 2023 recipients are:

In addition to these four awards, our deans chose to bestow three additional faculty members with Honorable Mentions for their outstanding work in and out of the classroom:
- Tiffany Bourelle, Associate Professor, Department of English Language & Literature
- Jingjing Wang, Associate Professor, Department of Economics
- Owen Whooley, Associate Professor, Department of Sociology
All awardees will be honored at UNM’s Annual Teaching Awards Ceremony on Friday, May 5th.
