Shirley Rey received her MA degree (with Distinction) in Training and Learning Technologies from the University of New Mexico.  She has over 25 years experience working at UNM with her expertise being in the areas of human resources accounting. The first few years, she was part of the accounting team for the School of Medicine's Department of Medicine on North campus until her career led her to administration.  She was a Clinical Department Administrator on North campus for several years and then became a Department Administrator for two departments on Main campus where she was awarded UNM's Provost's Outstanding Staff Award. In August of 2010, Shirley Rey became the Senior Academic Operations Officer for the College of Arts and Sciences and became the designated the HR Agent for the college.  She is also a member of the CARS advisory board.
