Reflecting our strengths and common goals, Dean Jennifer Malat launched four new initiatives that align with the University's strategic plan, UNM 2040: Opportunity Defined:

Three of the four opportunities have concluded, with the exception of the Staff Professional Development Program, which is still accepting applications. 

AI Literacy Faculty Fellows Program | Accepting Applications Through 2/25

The College is seeking 6-12 fellows to a cross-disciplinary cohort of A&S faculty prepared to make informed, reflective decisions about generative AI in teaching and to share effective practices across the College, in alignment with university initiatives.

Submit: Statement of interest (≤500 words) with artifact idea; teaching context and dissemination plan; optional chair support note.

Lead Facilitator applicants should include an additional vision and leadership experience statement (≤500 words). Submit all application materials to asadmin@unm.edu with AI Literacy Fellows as the subject line.

STIPENDS
  • Faculty Fellows: $5,000 (summer stipend)
  • Lead Facilitator: $10,000 or one course release plus $5,000
