Nine of twelve 2021 Women in STEM Award Winners are from the College of Arts & Sciences

The Women in STEM awards, hosted by Advance at UNM in collaboration with the UNM Office of Academic Affairs and the Office of the Vice President for Research, recently announced the 12 faculty members who will be honored with the 2021 Women in STEM awards. The winners from the College of Arts & Sciences are: Miriam Gay-Antaki, an assistant professor in Geography and Environmental Sciences; Xiaoxue Li, an assistant professor in Economics; TyAnna Lovato, a research assistant professor in Biology; Melinda Morgan, an associate professor in Geography and Environmental Studies; Suzanne Oakdale, an associate professor in Anthropology; Amalia Parra, a research assistant professor in Biology; Sarah Stith, an assistant professor in Economics; Jingjing Wang, an assistant professor in Economics, and Alex Webster; a research professor in Biology.
