Researchers from the Department of Anthropology at the University of New Mexico are pleased to announce the release of a new interactive website: Heritage New Mexico

The research team recently conducted a study of identity, culture and biology in New Mexicans of Spanish-speaking descent (NMS). The research goals were:

  1. to explore how NMS think about their own identities and the identities of their fellow citizens
  2. to examine the relationship between identity and biology, and
  3. to determine how different biological and cultural factors impact the health of NMS.

The purpose of this site is to share findings from this research with the public. Viewers will discover several interactive tabs allowing exploration of different aspects of the study, along with pages providing both text and video information about the researchers and their work.
