Description
The Late Bloomers Scholarship specifically supports students in the College of Arts & Sciences who are returning to higher education after an absence of at least one year. If selected, recipients are expected to meet with an advisor at our advisement center in order to transition into the College of Arts & Sciences. This scholarship is renewable on a yearly basis if the award recipients can demonstrate at minimum a 2.5 GPA and are officially students within the College of Arts & Sciences.
Available to all majors/programs in A&S, applicants should be “newly” returning to higher education. (Within the last year).

- Personal Statement- Considering the specifics of this scholarship, this statement should include (but not be limited to): reasons you returned to school, academic/career goals, and why you chose your particular program. This statement gives you an opportunity to speak to the scholarship selection committee. Please address these letters directly to, “The Scholarship Selection Committee.” (1-2 pages, 12 pt. Arial font, 1.5 spacing).
- One letter of recommendation describing your qualifications from a current or former employer, or a business, community, or academic professional.

- Current GPA of at least 2.5 to maintain eligibility.
- Be students returning to higher education after an absence of at least a year.
- Taking at least 9 credit hours to maintain eligibility.
