Advising Philosophy

As an academic advisor, I find that the most important aspect is to serve as a mentor to students. College is a stressful time and I want to provide all of the necessary resources and information to ensure that students are successful in their studies. I want nothing more than to see students exceed their own expectations and set goals for their futures. My office is always a safe space for students to express their concerns and my goal is to make sure they leave feeling better than when they came in.

About Me

I graduated from UNM with a BS in Biology and minor in Sustainable Studies. After my studies I worked as an ornithologist for the NMACD and as an English professor in Spain. I enjoy traveling, the arts, and the outdoors. I love hearing about new places to explore in New Mexico as well as different local hot spots for food.
