Advising Philosophy

Advisement is a partnership between student and advisor. We work together, collaborate, and communicate towards common goals that help students thrive and succeed.

About Me

I grew up outside of Philadelphia, PA, but decided to attend UNM for college because who doesn’t want to be a Lobo? I earned my BS in Environmental Science from UNM and my MA in Higher Education with a specialization in Student Affairs from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. I am now currently working on my MBA at UNM. I have had the opportunity to work in higher education at several different institutions, including Johns Hopkins University, Penn State, and Brown University. When advising students, I draw from my personal experiences and previous positions in higher education including my work with Orientation, Residence Life, Pre-College Enrichment Programs, Conference Services, Recruitment, Sports Camps, and more. My goal is to help students find academic success and complete their degree(s) in a timely manner.
