Undergraduate Student Research Initiative

Research Initiative

Posted: August 27, 2013

The College of Arts & Sciences is continuing its undergraduate student research initiative. This program is aimed at increasing the number of undergraduate students working with faculty mentors on research or scholarship and at increasing the overall awareness of undergraduate research.

To apply for this program, students should submit a one page description of the planned research or scholarship to the FACULTY'S HOME DEPARTMENT. This description needs to be signed by the student and the faculty mentor and will briefly describe the student’s planned participation in research or scholarship. Departments will select applications to be forwarded to the College.

The College will provide a $500 award to the selected teams to support the effort.

Any student with undergraduate status in the College of Arts & Sciences is eligible to apply. The program begins immediately; the number of $500 awards is limited so students are encouraged to apply soon.
