The Faculty Senate Teaching Enhancement Committee has selected recipients for this year’s Teaching Awards. The awardees were: Mary Domski, Philosophy; Gary A. Smith, Earth & Planetary Sciences; Helen J. Wearing, Biology; Charles H. Kalm, Philosophy; Bethany Davila, English; Ann V. Murphy, Philosophy; Cody J. Wiley, Geography; Cynthia O. Meléndrez, Spanish & Portuguese; Justin Messmore, Philosophy; Brittany Ortiz, Political Science; Bryan W. Turo, History; and Víctor A. Valdivia Ruiz, Spanish & Portuguese.
Sponsored by the Teaching Enhancement Committee and the Center for Teaching Excellence, there will be a celebration of UNM’s outstanding educators at a ceremony on Wednesday, May 7 in Ballroom C of the Student Union Building, beginning at 2 p.m. Congratulations to the winners and to the nominees for the 2013-14 Teaching Awards.
